Indulge in our mouth-watering Lobster Rolls, made with 150g of fresh, shelled, cooked lobster meat. Perfectly paired with crisp celery, green onion, and creamy whole egg mayonnaise, this gourmet seafood roll is seasoned with lime juice and a dash of Tabasco for a tangy kick. Served on a buttered, toasted hot dog bun and topped with iceberg lettuce, our lobster rolls offer a delightful balance of textures and flavors. Garnished with finely chopped chives for an extra touch of freshness, these rolls are perfect for seafood lovers.

Ingredients

  1. 600g fresh lobster meat (shelled, cooked, and cut into 3cm cubes)
  2. 2 celery stalks, finely diced
  3. ½ cup whole egg mayonnaise
  4. 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  5. ¼ teaspoon Tabasco sauce (adjust to taste)
  6. 4 hot dog buns
  7. 4 lettuce leaves (iceberg or your choice, for lining the buns)
  8. 2 tablespoons finely chopped chives
  9. Butter (for spreading on the buns)

Method

  1. Cook lobster in a large saucepan of salted water (water must be very salty, like the sea). Boil for 6 minutes. Drain and cool in fridge.
  2. Meanwhile, combine celery, onion, mayonnaise, lime juice, and Tabasco in a medium bowl. Discard the lobster shell and cut the flesh into 3cm cubes. Add to the celery mixture and toss to combine. Check seasoning.
  3. Split buns and spread inside with butter. Fill with lettuce and lobster mixture. Sprinkle with chives.
