  • 400g fettuccine
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp dill, chopped
  • 550g jar classic tomato pasta sauce
  • 600g marinara mix
  • Few drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1 onion, halved and sliced
  • 1 lemon rind, finely grated
  • Crusty bread, to serve

Steps

  1. Cook the fettuccine in a large saucepan of boiling water according to the packet directions. Drain and return the pasta to the pan.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook for 5 minutes, or until soft. Stir in 1 tablespoon of dill and cook for an additional minute. Add the pasta sauce and 1/2 cup of water, bringing the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, then stir through the marinara mix and Tabasco sauce, simmering for 5 minutes until the seafood is cooked.
  3. Stir in the grated lemon rind and season to taste. Add the sauce to the fettuccine and gently toss to combine. Top with the remaining dill and serve with crusty bread.
