Pearl Seafoods was started in 2013 in a back lane of Stanmore, NSW, in a tiny insulated room alongside an even smaller cool room. From humble beginnings with only four employees—two being the husband-and-wife owners with big dreams—they quickly transformed this small business into the successful enterprise it is today, one box of fish at a time. We saw a niche market and seized it, becoming the largest and most trusted seafood processor in the Japanese/sushi sector. We work alongside some
of Australia's biggest suppliers to bring the best sashimi-grade seafood, whether live, fresh, or frozen, directly into restaurants, shops, and homes across Australia.
In late 2021, after a long and challenging process, we vertically integrated the business to include a seafood exporting arm. This enables us to process domestically with a higher level of care, food safety, and traceability than the normal requirements under the NSW Food Safety Program. Now, we are connecting premium Australian seafood with buyers
worldwide. From the point of receipt to dispatch and delivery, our products move through a recorded cold chain, with all processing performed at an 8-degree Celsius temperature. This ensures our seafood quality has an extended shelf life that exceeds all of our competitors.
